Shopping in Poké Marts has also been enhanced. Also, Pokémon with high evolution levels have been adjusted to match the game’s difficulty curve. Gone are the days of trading Pokémon for evolution. And for those tired of weak moves like Cut and Rock Smash, rejoice! They’ve been buffed to be more usable. Some Pokémon have even been blessed with completely new moves. The level-up move pools for Pokémon have been reshuffled, making them more versatile. For instance, get ready to battle a Bug/Water Masquerain or a Grass/Dragon Serperior. Additionally, some Pokémon have undergone type and ability changes. Pokémon like Butterfree and Farfetch’d now have a fighting chance. Many Pokémon that were previously considered weak have had their stats boosted. As you progress, be prepared for trainers unleashing Mega Evolutions against you. And yes, most of them now have a full roster of 6 Pokémon. Expect to face trainers with the strongest AI setting, held items, enhanced movesets, and ideal abilities. And if you’re thinking of doing a Nuzlocke run, brace yourself for a challenge, as the game’s unpredictable encounters and beefed-up trainer battles will test your mettle.
